NEW YORK – US stocks posted the biggest weekly loss in almost three months on Friday, with the continued negatively affected by the results of the business but the benchmark S & P 500 and the Dow Jones ended their April trading higher after a strong performance in the middle of the month.
The Dow Jones industrial average was 57.12 points, or 0.32 percent, to close at 17,773.64 points and the S & P 500 index increased by 10.51 points or 0.51 percent to 2065.30 points, while the Nasdaq Composite Index 29.93 points or 0.62 percent to end the day at 4775.36 points.
Over the week, the Dow Jones came down and the S & P 500 rose 1.3 percent each, while the Nasdaq lost 2.7 percent.
The Dow Jones and the S & P 500 by 0.5 and 0.3 percent respectively during April, while the Nasdaq down 1.9 percent.
